An artists' book created in response to the 2013 garment factory collapse in Bangladesh that killed over 1,000 people.
Learning about the conditions and cause of the tragedy provoked an examination of my own closet. Using a small selection of favorite items provided a baseline of countries from which to learn more about the garment industry and its workers. Consolidating information brings a broader awareness to the positive and negative statistics of the fashion industry.
This book is an exposed tape binding using a French link stitch.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the Bangladesh Centre for Worker Solidarity.
